Recognizing GOD!!
A man named Moses was tending his sheep in the land of Midian when he comes upon a burning bush, as he moves closer, he hears GOD speaking to him about his people and their need to be delivered from Egypt. God then tells Moses to take off his sandals for he is standing on holy ground. Moses has been tending sheep in this area for 40 years, How many times do you think he had passed by this very same spot? And now GOD says the ground is holy? Has the ground always been holy and Moses is only now aware it is holy.
Do you and I walk on holy ground all the time and do not see it because we have so many e-mails, things to do, stuff in life that keep us so preoccupied that we miss that too? Remember Jacobs words after his dream were Surely GOD was in this place and I was never aware of it.
When we walk around in the beauty of this earth we are without excuse not to see we are immersed in his presence Col. 1:26-27 talks about the mysteries hidden from ages and generations, but now GOD has revealed them to his saints, what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles which is CHRIST in you the hope of glory. This is why I like to use the term of tour guide and not missionary, because we do not bring GOD somewhere he already is, We need to point out GOD to people everywhere we go. For example if an athiest who absolutely does not believe in GOD helps up a little old lady that stumbles, Is that GOD in the middle of the mix doing something good? remember the bible says all good things come from our father above.
I believe the "todays church" needs to see GOD everywhere he is and not only where we bring him.
I believe when the HOLY SPIRIT lives in the heart of the believer that everywhere we place our hands and everywhere we place our feet we do bring GODS kingdom there, but we need to see the omnipresence of GOD and recognize we live in a world created by the giver of life himself, That is why I feel littering is a spiritual issue but I wont go there now, but for just a moment think about that too.
I believe GOD is telling me and his followers worldwide to seek him like never before, to shed their earthly world view and to see the earth as something visable that was created by GODS invisable word/command, that the supernatural created the natural. Many things or habits that seem small can easily get in the way of us getting even closer to GOD like cussing(eph 5:4)
I would like to leave you with this one challenge to see GOD clearer, When you pray in your quiet place just do not stop until GOD and you are thru, just try it and see!!.
